After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best sports & action cameras for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

GoPro HERO5 Black

GoPro HERO5 Black $282.18 1

Ruggedized and ready for adventure, the GoPro HERO5 Black action camera can be taken to the skies, over rough terrain, and even underwater without flinching, recording 4K videos and 12MP photos along the way. The sealed rubberized chassis allows the HERO5 Black to be taken to depths of 33′ without the need for an external housing. So whether your escapades take you to the lands of concrete, sand, dirt, snow, or water, the HERO5 Black is prepared to record with a single button press. Once you have finished recording, use the touchscreen to playback and even edit your footage right on the camera.

It’s hard to speak aboutMORE the versatility of the HERO5 Black and not mention the mounting possibilities available through the included and separately available accessories. The Frame is included with the HERO5 Black and not only adds another layer of protection, it provides an interface to the world of 3-prong accessories. To get you started, a mounting buckle quick-release for The Frame and two adhesive mounts (one curved and one straight) with quick-releases are included. Other accessories such as handlebar mounts, selfie sticks, suction cups, and dive housings for creative placement of the HERO5 Black are available separately.

Not only is it more versatile than previous generation HEROs, it’s also easier to use. A touchscreen graces the rear surface, displaying a revamped user interface, while the front screen combined with the top and side buttons offer a more traditional one-button control experience. If the camera is off, pressing the record button will power it on and immediately start recording. Hands-free control is also possible using the built-in Voice Control feature. Speaking simple voice commands can control various functions inside the camera, including start/stop video recording, photo burst, and more.

Samsung Gear 360 Real 360° High Resolution

Samsung Gear 360 Real 360° High Resolution $70.46 1

That life ended earlier this year when Samsung announced and released the new Gear 360. It’s a taller, slimmer version of the Gear 360 that’s easier to hold in your hand, captures better quality videos and photos, and fixes most of the many little problems that made its predecessor frustrating to use. It also now works with iPhones, though the compatibility stops there.

The new Gear 360,MORE which costs $229, doesn’t magically answer the question “what good is 360-degree imagery for?” any more than its predecessor, or any other 360-degree camera for that matter. It’s still a solution looking for a problem. But it makes that search a little less painful.

These are all symptoms of the weird sort of limbo 360-degree currently exits in. It’s rather different from where (and when) traditional digital cameras are currently at in terms of development. Most DSLRs and smartphones have more than enough megapixels when you consider that the infrastructure we use to distribute and watch digital video — whether it’s a phone’s screen, or a computer monitor, or cellular data speeds — is largely still catching up to accomodate 4K resolution.

YI 4K Action and Sports Camera

YI 4K Action and Sports Camera $163.04 1

The Yi is almost exactly a GoPro. It looks exactly like a GoPro. Everybody I showed it to thought it was a GoPro. Even the font in its menu system is suspiciously familiar, as is the latch on the waterproof housing. It can shoot at the same high speeds as the Hero4 Black. The pattern of beeps for starting and stopping recording is the same. So what’s the difference? The Hero4 Black costs $500, and the Yi 4K costs $250. But wait, there’s more.

When GoPro made the Hero4 line,MORE it decided that the mid-tier Silver edition would have a touchscreen on the back, but that the top-tier Black edition would not. The Yi 4K basically took the Black edition and put the Silver edition’s screen on it, but it’s larger (2.19 inches versus 1.5 inches), higher resolution (330 pixels per inch), and more responsive than GoPro’s.

The catch is that the Yi 4K has only one button. You tap it to start/stop recording and you hold it to power up/down. If you want to change modes or tweak settings you have to do it through the touchscreen (or paired smartphone app for Android and iOS). This is all fine and good if you’re inside, but the screen is nearly impossible to read if it’s bright out. It also means you can’t change modes or settings if you have it in a waterproof housing. (There’s a workaround for alternating between photo and video, but it’s kind of a pain.)

SOLOSHOT3 + Optic65 Auto Tracking Camera

SOLOSHOT3 + Optic65 Auto Tracking Camera $799.00 1

The SOLOSHOT3 with Optic65 Camera from SOLOSHOT is a robotic camera and tracking system that allows you to capture yourself at resolutions up to 4K UHD as you move through the scene, with no cameraman required. Simply wear the waterproof and shockproof Tag transmitter using an included armband and clip, and the SOLOSHOT3 Base automatically pans, tilts, and sends zoom and focus commands to the included Optic65 camera to keep you in the shot and in focus at distances up to 2,000′ away.

The SOLOSHOT3 Base has a loadMORE capacity of 1.5 lb and accepts either an optional Camera Adapter plate to support lightweight cameras, or the custom-designed Optic25 and Optic65 cameras that clip directly to the top of the Base. This bundle includes the Optic65 camera, which features a 12.4 megapixel 1/2.3″ backside-illuminated CMOS sensor that supports 4K UHD video at 30 fps, 1080p up to 60 fps, and 720p up to 240 fps for slow-motion playback. It is equipped with a 65x telescopic optical zoom lens that provides a 35mm-equivalent focal range of 24 to 1560mm, making it perfectly suited to tracking a SOLOSHOT3 Tag-wearing subject, even over long distances.

Designed for quick-and-easy setup, the entire SOLOSHOT3 system can be fired up in under a minute. Just attach the Base to your tripod head via the 3/8″-16 threaded hole and clip in the Optic65 camera. Unlike previous generations of SOLOSHOT systems, no calibration is required, and it can even be moved at anytime and it will continue to automatically track the subject. The system can be controlled using a built-in touchscreen display or remotely over Wi-Fi on your smartphone or tablet.

360 Camera, Xiaomi Mijia Mi Dual-Lens Sphere Action

360 Camera, Xiaomi Mijia Mi Dual-Lens Sphere Action Check on Amazon 1

The Yi 360 VR can shoot 5.7K 360 video, which is the highest resolution video of any 360 camera under $1000 (along with the VIRB 360). Larger resolutions are good for 360 videos because they require more pixels to look sharp, but lens quality is still very important. The Mi Sphere features some very good optics and has been proven to provide excellent dynamic range and light balance. When the Mi Sphere was first released it could only shoot 3.5K resolution video, but a software update has upgraded this to 4K which brings it in line with most modern 360 cameras.

The Yi is great at shooting high quality,MORE detailed video. 5.7K at 120mbsp results in huge files but the video looks amazing for a consumer priced device. The one issue I have with the video coming out of the Yi is overexposure, which is quite severe in some places, but this can re rectified by changing exposure settings.

So the Yi 360 pretty clearly outclassed the Mi Sphere when it came to video, but photos are a different matter. The Yi 360 can shoot 18 megapixel photos, which is fairly average for a 360 camera. The photos look fairly good, but this resolution is not really enough to ensure sharpness, especially on larger screens.

MADV Madventure 360 Camera

MADV Madventure 360 Camera $309.99 1

There’s a MicroSD card slot and USB port on one side, while the power, Wi-Fi, and record buttons are all up top. You’ll find a standard 1/4-inch screw thread on the bottom for attaching to a tripod (a miniature one comes in the box), along with electrical contacts so you can control the camera from the included selfie stick.

You can change between still and videoMORE modes by tapping the power button (hold it to turn the camera on and off). Hidden lights on one face of the camera indicate which mode you’re in, and a battery indicator light lets you know when you’re running out of juice or if the camera goes to sleep.

Like other small 360 cams, you can control the Madventure from your smartphone (iOS and Android). The app is simple enough to navigate, but it definitely feels unfinished, with plenty of bugs and glitches. Video playback was marred by occasional stutters and audio static on an iPhone 7 Plus. In one instance, the thumbnails of clips we had downloaded were replaced with the thumbnails from MADV’s included sample videos. Some UI elements and buttons don’t always show up, or load beyond the borders of the screen where they can’t be accessed.

GoPro Fusion

GoPro Fusion $697.00 1

360-degree video cameras are a bit like smartwatches. The novelty of the technology gets us excited, even if we’re unsure how that technology fits into our lives or if it brings tangible improvements over our existing devices. Manufacturers tout these products as the next big thing, but have continually fallen short on their promises to deliver another technological revolution.

In this analogy,MORE GoPro is like Apple. It wasn’t the first company to put a piece on the board, but now all eyes are on its next move. We want to know if the Fusion 360 camera can finally reveal the true potential of immersive video, something that has escaped most of the other industry players. We’re looking for a reason to want this thing, just as we looked to Apple to give us a can’t-live-without-it smartwatch.

While it’s debatable whether or not Apple succeeded with the first-generation Watch, a common refrain among reviewers and users was, “It’s great — for a smartwatch.” Our praise for the Fusion is similarly reserved: It has the potential to be the best 360 camera out there, but it’s still a 360 camera — if you didn’t need one before, you probably still don’t. But unlike most 360-degree cameras, we can make a more compelling argument for why you would want a Fusion.

Garmin VIRB Ultra 30 Action Camera

Garmin VIRB Ultra 30 Action Camera $399.99 1

Ultra HD 4K resolution video at 30 fps, 3-axis video stabilization, voice control, GPS capture, 12MP photos with up to 60 fps burst frames, high-sensitivity mic, color touchscreen, live streaming to YouTube, 130 ft waterproof case, and easy-to-use one-touch operation — the VIRB Ultra 30 from Garmin is a cutting-edge action camera suitable for up to the most professional applications, and it’s sleek and stylish to boot. Other video recording resolutions include 1080p at up to 120 fps and 720p at up to 240 fps.

Attach it to one of the many available support accessories,MORE and command it what to do hands-free, such as “start recording” or “take a picture,” or “remember that” to tag footage for later recall, and capture all your adventures. You can set your videos to automatically get stabilized in-camera using built-in electronic gyroscope stabilization, so that you don’t have to apply stabilization in post-production to get smoother footage. And the built-in sensitive mic ensures that sound is recorded clear and not muffled — and this is so whether the camera is in or out of the waterproof case. (Stabilization is applicable in Full HD 1080p60 resolution only.)

When you’re up there on that mountain, and want to document the height you reached, or how far you went, or how fast, just hit the GPS feature and the camera will take note of everything, of all the relevant performance data, which you can later use as proof. You can even overlay graphs and gauges over this data. Pair the VIRB Ultra 30 with the appropriate Garmin heart-rate monitor and you can even document your heart rate up on that mountain.

After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best body mounted cameras for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

Crosstour Action Camera 4K WIFI Underwater

Crosstour Action Camera 4K WIFI Underwater $59.97 1

Crosstour Action Camera 1080P is waterproof and durable. It offers the best quality videos irrespective of the conditions. It is designed to enhance the experience of the users without hurting the budget. As it is water proof, it can be a good option for the swimmers and divers, it operates well underwater at thirty meters feet and is able to capture the nuance of the color.

It can help you to captureMORE the real world, it is WIFI connected, and you can use it for the multiple purposes like the video recording, displaying, resolution setting, even deleting the files. If you want to find out more about this great sports camera and want to see some of the features it has to offer this article is written for you. In this review, you will get all the details about the features, specification, pros, cons, and the feedback.

You will have many accessories in the package. You can use those eighteen multi-functional accessories while using your camera in different conditions. These accessories are given to help you to use the camera while swimming, diving, biking, and surfing. You can mount your camera to your bicycle, helmet, and the wrist with the help of the accessories as well.

YI Discovery Action Camera

YI Discovery Action Camera $59.89 1

The Yi Discovery will leave you with a big chunk of change from $100. The cheapest GoPro you will come across is the HERO5 Session at nearly four times the price. While the Session does shoot faster frame rates and has native waterproofing, it doesn’t have a touchscreen or a removable battery.

Landing a cameraMORE at this price point means there will be some trade-offs. For example, the Yi Discovery doesn’t have image stabilization; the 4K resolution is capped at 20fps; and there is no tripod mount on the bottom. These may or may not affect your buying decision, but they are all relative to the competitive price bracket in which the Discovery lies.

The set costs around $20 and includes a waterproof case, suction mount, chest strap and more. Be sure to watch our video on the Yi Discovery for a montage we made using some of these attachments. It’s great that Yi uses the same dimensions in their other cameras which means all these attachments will work if you decide to upgrade your camera at a later stage.

OGL WIFI Action Camera 4K 24MP Waterproof

OGL WIFI Action Camera 4K 24MP Waterproof $77.99 1

The last thing you want to have to worry about while skiing down a mountain, jumping into a river, or tramping through a rainforest is correcting the white balance on your shots. An action camera should make adjusting these settings and framing shots as easy as possible, so that you can still enjoy yourself while recording something to share later. Cameras that employ full-color LCD displays, have a touchscreen interface, and a well-designed mobile app are preferred to those without them. Voice commands are not an essential feature, but a truly great camera probably has them.

In order to use your action cameraMORE to its full potential, you’re probably going to need a few accessories. The ideal action camera is compatible with a wide range of these mounts, including those made by the manufacturer and cheaper third-party options. These mounts should be as easy to use and effective as the cameras themselves.

A top-tier action cam must record crisp, smooth, vibrant video, offer multiple frame rates to choose from and include at least 1080/60p (that’s Full HD resolution at 60 frames per second), though 4K/30p is becoming the norm.

YI 4K Action Camera, 4K/30fps Video

YI 4K Action Camera, 4K/30fps Video $169.00 1

The YI 4K Action Camera is a remarkable camera for the money, offering great features and performance in an easy-to-use package. It has long battery life for its size. A touchscreen gives you full control of the camera or you can use the high-speed Wi-Fi to connect to your phone and control via an app. App handles shooting, editing and sharing. YI continues to add features through firmware updates.

You’ll need to buyMORE accessories such as a waterproof housing. Though YI used Gorilla Glass, the touchscreen is not shatterproof. The microSD card slot is a little hard to access. Parts of the English app are still in Chinese.

An action cam with a lot of features, excellent video quality and a more affordable price, the YI 4K is undeniably a good deal.

DROGRACE WP200 Sports Action Camera

DROGRACE WP200 Sports Action Camera $29.99 1

There are dozens of different manufacturers that have designed action cameras over the years, especially once GoPro’s become quite popular. Before deciding on the DROGRACE WP200 Action Camera, it’s best if you compare its important features to other designs on the market and you’ll want to consider video and photo quality, ease of use, and durability.

With plenty of unique capturingMORE features and the reliability you’re looking for when it comes to an action camera, this is easily one of the more competitive models on the market to look out for. In this guide, you will learn about the features of the DROGRACE WP200 Action Camera, some of its pros and cons, and whether it outperforms other action cameras on the market.

Overall, the DROGRACE WP200 Action Camerais a useful action camera to have around your home and in your traveling bag if you’re first getting used to the idea of smaller cameras. Although it might not offer the highest quality video recordings and photos, it surely outperforms a few poorly designed cameras on the market. At the end of the day, it gets the job done and gives you the ability to remember great family moments forever.

GoPro Camera HERO+ LCD HD Video Recording Camera

GoPro Camera HERO+ LCD HD Video Recording Camera Check on Amazon

The Hero+ looks like most other GoPros when they’re in a case. It’s got a lens, a front information LCD, and three buttons—one on the top (Record), one on the front (Power/Mode), and one on the side (Settings). But unlike the Hero4 Silver, you can’t remove the Hero+ from its case, nor can you remove its battery for quick changes in the field. That cuts its versatility a bit, as you won’t be able to mount it in a stabilization gimbal for use on a drone, for example.

The camera measures aboutMORE 2.8 by 2.7 by 1.2 inches (HWD) and weighs 4.2 ounces. It includes the same adjustable foot that’s on every GoPro, as well as two adhesive mounts (one for a flat surface and one for a curved surface). The foot can be removed using a thumb screw, which allows you to replace it with any number of accessory mounting tools that are available. One complaint that’s true with all GoPro models remains here: There’s no tripod screw in the foot, which means you’ll need to invest in an accessory to use the camera with a tripod.

When you take the Hero+ out of the package it’s already locked in its waterproof case, which includes a closed rear door. The case is rated for use as deep as 131 feet. Using the door muffles recorded audio—if you’re not going underwater or traveling at speeds greater than 100mph, you’re better off swapping it out for the rear door with an opening in its center (also included). It’ll still protect the camera from drops, but sound will be clearer.

TomTom Bandit 4k Action Video Camera

TomTom Bandit 4k Action Video Camera Out of stock

TomTom’s Bandit action camera uses built-in sensors to tag all the potential highlights in your clips to make editing easier. Its mobile app lets you quickly create a highlight reel just by shaking your smartphone. Charging and video/photo transfers can be done without a cable. Unique rotating mounting system makes getting the camera horizontal simple.

Though video quality is veryMORE good from the Bandit, you’ll get better results for your $400 from GoPro’s Hero4 Silver or Sony’s Action Cam X1000V. Mounting plate doesn’t securely lock. GPS and other sensor information is only used for tagging. No digital image stabilization.

TomTom, the company best known for its GPS navigation systems, came up with a solution in the Bandit, a camera that can handle both capturing your adventures and editing the best moments together into a movie you can share straight from a phone or tablet. The Bandit addresses a few other shortcomings you might find in competing cameras and has very good video quality, too, but the easy on-camera editing is the star attraction.

iON SnapCam LE 1065 8 MP Full HD

iON SnapCam LE 1065 8 MP Full HD $69.95 1

The action cam has three different modes available to use which are differentiated by colour coding surrounding the power button. The first is a green single/burst shot mode which takes some decent quality eight megapixel images. The burst setting can take up to 30 photos every three seconds, so very quick, and gives you a chance to pick the best of the bunch.

The second mode is anMORE amber time-lapse setting, which takes a photo every one second as default. You can change this in the app which is free to download from Android Play or Apple’s App Store. By the way, the app is very easy to connect to the device using Bluetooth or WiFi if available.

The third and final mode that most of you will probably use the camera for is a red video mode. Using the app again you can set the camera to record at 1080p 30fps or step down to 720p to get a 60fps video. Great for slow motion stuff to create some funky first-person footage. If you’d like to check out the camera’s quality, there is a video at the top of the page. There is a 120˚ angle field of view as well to capture as much as possible in the frame.

After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best digital cameras for beginners for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

Canon EOS Rebel SL2 Bundle With EF-S

Canon EOS Rebel SL2 Bundle With EF S $599.00

With a compact and lightweight body, the black Canon EOS Rebel SL2 DSLR Camera provides users with a fully-featured system that won’t weigh them down. Packed into the tiny body is a capable 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 7 Image Processor, both of which work together to create sharp, vivid images at native sensitivities up to ISO 25600 and extended sensitivities up to ISO 51200.

Video shooting has receivedMORE a boost with Full HD 1080p recording possible at up to 60 fps. The SL2 also manages some significant body upgrades, with the main addition being a 3.0″ vari-angle touchscreen LCD for intuitive operation and the ability to work at odd angles with relative ease. As a DSLR, the SL2 obviously retains the optical viewfinder for fast, natural composition of your images and it can shoot continuously at speeds up to 5 fps.

This setup also features a 9-point AF system for capturing tack sharp images. If you are working in Live View or shooting video, the SL2 does offer Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, providing fast, accurate focusing in these modes and with intuitive control via the touchscreen. Additionally, the SL2 has a microphone input for higher quality audio recording during movie shooting.

Nikon D5300 24.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR

Nikon D5300 24 2 MP CMOS Digital SLR $536.00 1

The black Nikon D5300 DSLR Camera features a DX-format 24.2-megapixel sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor to produce high-resolution still imagery and Full HD video with notable low-light sensitivity to ISO 12800 and a fast continuous shooting rate of 5 fps. The sensor design omits the traditional optical low-pass filter in order to gain the utmost sharpness and resolution from both photos and videos.

Complementing the imaging assetsMORE are both a versatile 39-point autofocus system, with nine cross-type sensors, and a 2,016-pixel RGB sensor for precise exposure metering in a wide variety of lighting conditions. Additionally, 1920 x 1080p movie recording is supported, in multiple frame rates up to 60 fps, with full-time continuous auto focusing capabilities. The compact, yet durably designed, camera body incorporates both an optical pentamirror viewfinder along with a large 3.2″.

1,037k-Dot vari-angle LCD monitor, which features a 180° swivel design to better support working from high and low angles. Also integrated into the D5300 are both Wi-Fi and GPS modules, which enable advanced image sharing capabilities as well as location-based image tagging. RAW (NEF) files can be recorded as lossless compressed or compressed at either 12 or 14-bit depth.

Canon EOS REBEL T7i

Canon EOS REBEL T7i $699.00 1

The new sensor impresses, as does the 45-point autofocus system backed up by excellent live view AF, while the newly designed graphical interface will certainly make this camera even more appealing to new users. The absence of 4K video and the quality of the exterior materials disappoint, but this aside, if you’re looking for a well-rounded and easy to use camera for your first DSLR the EOS Rebel T7i / EOS 800D is certainly worth a look.

The new sensor is partneredMORE with a new DIGIC 7 image processor. We’ve seen a DIGIC 7 chip already in the likes of Canon’s PowerShot G7 X II compact camera, but this is quite a different proposition. Canon claims it can handle 14 times more information than the DIGIC 6 processor that was in the T6i / 750D, which again should help deliver a better high-ISO noise performance, as well as an improved autofocus performance too.

We’ll look at the autofocus in more detail a little later, but sensitivity-wise the Rebel T7i / 800D offers a range of ISO100-25,600 – that’s an extra stop over the T6i’s expanded 12,800 ISO ceiling, while there’s a Hi setting equivalent to ISO51,200 also available. You’ll just have to select this in the custom setting.

Sony a5100 16-50mm Mirrorless Digital Camera

Sony $448.00 1

Offering the speed and versatility required by multimedia photographers, the black Alpha a5100 Mirrorless Digital Camera from Sony combines a high-resolution sensor, hybrid AF system, and apt video recording capabilities, all within a compact and convenient form factor. Pairing a 24.3MP APS-C-sized Exmor HD CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor, this camera is able to record up to 6 fps continuous shooting with notable sensitivity to ISO 25600.

Full HD video recording is supportedMORE in the high-quality XAVC S codec, with the ability to shoot at 1080p in 60, 30, or 24 fps frame rates. Complementing the multimedia imaging capabilities is the Fast Hybrid AF system, which pairs 179 phase-detection points with 25 contrast-detection points to deliver fast, accurate, and consistent focusing abilities. The a5100 is poised to deliver the all-around performance desired by contemporary photographers while still maintaining the convenience needed for everyday shooting.

In regard to handling, the a5100 sports a sleek design that is characterized by a large 3.0″ 921.6k-dot LCD monitor, which features a 180° upward tilting design to permit easier viewing from both front-facing and above angles. Furthermore, the LCD is also a touchscreen, which permits intuitive control over image playback and menu navigation.

Canon EOS Rebel T5 Digital SLR Camera

Canon EOS Rebel T5 Digital SLR Camera $374.00 1

The T5’s photo quality ranks as typical for an entry-level dSLR; in this respect, all APS-C sensor-size cameras at this price deliver about the same image quality. It does seem to have a slightly narrower tonal range than other models; JPEG photos look good up to ISO 400, at which point you’ll start to see blotchy blacks when lighting get low. That happens with the D3200, too, but in lower light.

While you can fix it a little bitMORE if you shoot raw, there’s very little detail there to be had. You can get sharper images by shooting raw starting at about ISO 400, though. Also note that you probably won’t be able to see the problem with the blacks when viewing it in a browser (as I discovered when trying to put an example together) or on a phone or tablet.

However, if you’re not too picky, you’ll probably be happy with the photos as high as ISO 3200 (though the quality will depend upon light and scene content). Beyond that, there’s a lot of image noise and hot pixels — those white dots you get in dark images.

PANASONIC LUMIX DC-ZS70S, 20.3 Megapixel

PANASONIC LUMIX DC-ZS70S, 20.3 Megapixel $397.99 1

Panasonic ZS70 has a 20.0MP 1/2.3 (6.17 x 4.55 mm ) sized BSI-CMOS sensor and features Venus Engine processor. You can shoot at maximum resolution of 5184 x 3888 pixels with aspect ratios of 1:1, 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9. ZS70 has a native ISO range of 80 – 3200 which can be boosted to 6400 and it can save files in RAW format which gives you a wider room for post processing.

Panasonic ZS70 weighsMORE 322 g (0.71 lb / 11.36 oz) and has external dimensions of 112 x 67 x 41 mm (4.41 x 2.64 x 1.61″). Considering that the average weight of Compact type cameras is 187g, Panasonic ZS70 is a significantly heavy camera for its class. With a thickness of 41mm, it is not small either, 12mm thicker than the average of its class.

With Panasonic ZS70, you can record your videos at a highest resolution of 3840 x 2160 at 30p fps with bit rates up to 100 mbps and save in MPEG-4 and AVCHD formats. This means that Panasonic ZS70 provides 4K (Ultra-HD) video, highest resolution that is available in the market today. When viewed on a 4K screen, you will be amazed by the level of details and the crispness.

Canon EOS 1300D / T6 EF-S

Canon EOS 1300D / T6 EF-S $354.99 1

The Canon EOS Rebel T6 / EOS 1300D is a solid if uninspiring entry-level DSLR, eschewing eye-catching features in favour of solid image quality at a low cost. It’s a great beginner option, but there are better spec’d entry-level DSLRs available if you’re willing to pay a little more.

Despite their low price pointMORE ‘entry-level’ cameras are incredibly important for manufacturers. These are the cameras with which the consumer starts their journey with a brand – and many of those consumers will stay with that brand for a very long time.

Because of this, you can get a lot of camera for relatively little money these days. The Canon EOS Rebel T6 (badged as the EOS 1300D outside the US) is Canon’s latest entry-level proposition, and it’s available at a great price for beginners, students or anyone new to DSLR photography. In fact, it’s cheaper than a lot of average compact cameras.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III camera

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III camera Check on Amazon 1

For many photographers, Sony sucks all the oxygen out of the room as far as mirrorless cameras are concerned. Yet Olympus, Panasonic, Fujifilm, and even Canon are fighting to remain relevant in this category, each taking its own approach. Enter the revised Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III. At $649 MSRP (body only), it’s a very affordable mirrorless interchangeable lens model. While it may be geared toward entry-level users, it brings with it some high-end features, like 8.6-frames-per-second (fps) burst shooting, 4K video, and ample direct access control. Oh, and we can’t forget about that classic Olympus OM-D styling.

The E-M10 Mark III is availableMORE in black or a silver-and-black combination for that extra-retro finish. Like all Olympus OM-D cameras, we quite like the look and feel. Overall, the body is very compact, weighing just 14.5 ounces including the memory card and battery. Even the M.Zuiko 14-150mm kit lens (28-300mm full-frame equivalent) added just 10 ounces, and the 17mm f/1.8 (34mm equivalent) weighs just 4.2 ounces and barely extends from the front plate.

The Mark III may strike some users as being quite busy, with loads of buttons and dials and switches. We quite like it, especially as few other cameras at this price point put this much control at your fingertips, but beginners may feel a little overwhelmed. There’s a hot shoe, mode dial, two command wheels, shutter button, and movie record button. There are also two customizable Function keys.

After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best digital cameras for professionals for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

Nikon D7200 24.2 MP Dual Zoom Lens

Nikon D7200 24.2 MP Dual Zoom Lens $1,196.95 1

One of our favorite DSLRs in the past few years is the Nikon D7100, which was introduced way back in February 2013. The D7200 isn’t a radical upgrade by any means, yet it still adds some important features, most notably a larger buffer, improved autofocus performance in low light, 60p video, Wi-Fi with NFC, and 15% better battery life.

One of the most importantMORE features on the D7200 is its improved AF system. Nikon has updated the D7200 to its Multi-CAM 3500DX II system, which still offers 51 AF points (the central 15 of which are cross-type), but now all of those points are sensitive to -3EV, while the D7100’s were limited to -2EV.

The most obvious improvement in the D7200 compared to the D7100 will be noticed by anyone who shoots continuously. The buffer size on the D7100 was tiny and filled up almost instantly, which not only affected burst shooting but bracketing as well. You can now fire away with the D7200 for up to 18 14-bit lossless compressed, 27 12-bit compressed Raws, or 100+ JPEGs. The maximum burst rate remains the same: 6 fps at full size and 7 fps in 1.3x crop mode.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III 22.3 MP Full Frame

Canon Check on Amazon

Canon’s 5D series cameras have gained legendary status over the last seven years. Their full-frame (35mm film-size) sensors clearly identify them as professional quality cameras, yet at around half the cost of Canon’s flagship 1D range, they’re a tantalising proposition for semi-professional and amateur photographers. Who needs frivolities like holidays or a social life when you could own a full-frame DSLR?

Before we continue,MORE we feel obliged to bring things back down to Earth. The 5D Mark III currently costs a shade under £2,800, but we recommend budgeting the same again for lenses that do it justice. It uses the same EF mount as consumer Canon EOS cameras, but cheaper EF-S lenses are only designed for cropped sensors and will produce an ominous circular frame when attached to the full-frame 5D Mark III.

Canon makes various keenly priced full-frame EF lenses, such as the 50mm f/1.8 (£80) and 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 (£375), but the pricier L lenses are a better match for the 5DMark III. Canon sent us the 24-105mm f/4L (£930), 100mm f/2.8L Macro (£820) and 50mm f/1.2L (£1,350) for testing, which we got on with very nicely. Total cost including VAT: £5,900. Still, that’s not unreasonable for people who earn a living with their camera, and those of humbler means can build up their lens collection slowly.

Nikon COOLPIX B500 16MP 40x Optical Zoom Digital Camera

Nikon COOLPIX B500 16MP 40x Optical Zoom Digital Camera $284.00

The Nikon Coolpix B500 is a bridge camera with a 16 megapixel sensor, which is paired with a 40x optical zoom. You can also activate a digital zoom up to 80x. It offers a range of shooting modes, but there’s no manual control, and it can’t shoot in raw format. As such, the intended target audience is beginners and possibly enthusiasts looking for a simple backup or travel camera. Like many of Nikon’s most recent cameras, it features SnapBridge technology, which allows you to maintain a constant Bluetooth link with your smartphone to send images across as you take them, ready to share on social networking sites and the like. Other interesting features include a 3.0-inch tilting screen, which features a 921k-dot resolution, inbuilt Wi-Fi and Full HD video recording.

On the top of the Nikon Coolpix B500MORE you’ll find a dial for switching between the various shooting modes that the camera offers. There’s no manual modes available here, but there’s quite a few options placed on the dial for you to choose from. This includes fully automatic, scene, creative, movie mode and more.

Next to this zoom switch is a button which is very useful for helping to frame shots when using longer focal lengths. If you press it, and keep it held down, the zoom will lens out, allowing you to find any subject that may have moved out of shot. When you’ve found the subject again, release the button and the zoom will move back in to the same focal length as you were previously using.

Canon EOS Rebel T6 DSLR Camera Bundle

Canon EOS Rebel T6 DSLR Camera Bundle $519.00 1

Comprising a versatile set of imaging capabilities along with support for a connected workflow, the EOS Rebel T6 from Canon is a compact, sleek DSLR featuring an 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 4+ image processor. Combined, these two technologies avail rich image quality with reduced noise, along with a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-6400 that can be further expanded to ISO 12800 to suit working in low and difficult lighting conditions.

The sensor and processor also enable the abilityMORE to shoot continuously at 3 fps for photographing moving subjects, as well as recording Full HD 1080p/30 video. Benefitting shooting with the optical viewfinder, a 9-point AF system incorporates a single center cross-type AF point for increased accuracy and focusing speed, and a contrast-detection focusing system offers refined autofocus precision for shooting movies or working in live view.

The rear 3.0″ 920k-dot LCD offers a bright, clear image for playback and review, and built-in Wi-Fi with NFC also offers the ability to wirelessly share imagery from your camera to a linked mobile device for instant online sharing. Included with the camera body is the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens, which provides a 28.8-88mm equivalent focal length range that covers wide-angle to short telephoto perspectives.

Nikon D3400 w/ AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm

Nikon D3400 w AF P DX NIKKOR 18 55mm $496.95 1

A sleek and now connected DSLR for all, the black Nikon D3400 is designed to produce better image quality than your smartphone, yet work seamlessly with your mobile devices for sharing your memories. Utilizing a DX-format 24.2MP CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor, this camera provides a native sensitivity range from ISO 100-25600 to suit working in a variety of lighting conditions.

And the sensor and processor combinationMORE also provides a 5 fps continuous shooting rate as well as Full HD 1080p video recording at 60 fps. The sensor’s design also omits an optical low-pass filter in order to achieve greater sharpness and resolution from both photos and videos. Beyond image creation, the D3400 also features SnapBridge, which utilizes Bluetooth connectivity, for wireless sharing of images to your mobile device, including automatic sharing of 2MP images between the camera and your mobile device.

The lightweight camera body incorporates a 3.0″ 921k-dot LCD screen for live view monitoring and image review and, catering to first-time DSLR owners, the D3400 also features a helpful Guide Mode to aid in achieving specific photographic looks or techniques, such as how to produce shallow depth of field imagery in a helpful, step-by-step manner.

Canon EOS 80D Digital SLR Camera

Canon EOS 80D Digital SLR Camera $997.46 1

The 80D is capable of producing excellent photos — as long as you either shoot raw or change many of the default JPEG settings. The camera’s automatic white balance isn’t very good. Under our lab lights, the only way I could get anything I could compare to other cameras was by using manual white balance; I’ve had similar issues with the Nikon D7200 and other Canons, but the 80D’s is pretty bad. In real daylight it’s better, but still has problems — among other things, it turns blue flowers purple. I couldn’t find a white-balance preset that produced accurate colors. On the flip side, though, the cast keeps its low-light photos from shifting too far to yellow.

Complicating the issue is Canon’s Auto Picture Style,MORE which pushes the saturation and contrast way too much, plus over processes edges, making them look too heavy. The new Fine Detail option is much better at edge processing, delivering results comparable to using raw up to about ISO 1600, and delivers sharpness on thin lines comparable to other APS-C-sensor cameras. It should really be the default. You can get pretty good results processing raw through ISO 6400, though beyond ISO 1600 there isn’t a lot of dynamic range available to recover.

The slightly higher-resolution sensor plus Fine Detail mode allows the 80D to produce noticeably better JPEGs than the 70D, though the latter’s auto-white balance is more accurate. The 80D also has a far cleaner noise profile in general across ISO sensitivities.

Nikon D7500 Black Digital SLR Camera

Nikon D7500 Black Digital SLR Camera $1,649.00

Borrowing from the best of what the award-winning D500 had to offer but in a more practical and user-friendly body, the new D7500 from Nikon delivers flagship performance for photographers seeking class leading image quality. The top-tier D7500 features the same 20.9 MP DX-format image sensor and EXPEED 5 image processing as the D500, but the body is similar to the D7200.

The advanced moviemaking capabilitiesMORE of the Nikon D7500 allows photographers to record stunningly detailed 4K Ultra HD or Full HD videos, using pro-level features such as power aperture and touch focus control. Time-lapse function is also available in-camera: Without a low-pass filter, the D7500 strikes an optimal balance between image resolution and low-noise performance.

The EXPEED 5 image-processing engine handles fast continuous shooting and 4K UHD video recording a 30p with ease. Capturing exclusive moving subjects at their peak won’t be a problem with the D7500 thanks to the camera’s 8 fps (up from the D7200’s 6 fps) continuous shooting for approximately 50 RAW images (14-bit lossless compared).

Pentax K-1 Full Frame DSLR Camera

Pentax K-1 Full Frame DSLR Camera $1,599.99 1

As this list of spec highlights should make clear, the K-1 makes the most of its moveable sensor. As well as the image stabilization, which is rated to an impressive 5 stops, the camera offers a host of other clever features. These include anti-aliasing filter simulation which vibrates the sensor during exposure to intentionally blur high frequency detail across multiple pixels, to avoid moiré.

The other sensor-shift modesMORE are also clever: the K-1 includes Horizon Correction, which rotates the sensor if you hold the camera slightly off-level, and the Astrotracer system that uses the sensor’s movement to cancel-out the effect of the Earth’s rotation when taking images of stars (something it can calculate using its GPS).

The camera gets a new AF module (called SAFOX 12) which features 33 focus points, 25 of which are cross type. The central three of these offer higher precision when used with F2.8 or faster lenses and the central 25 continue to focus down as far as -3EV.

After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best digital cameras for travel for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

Canon PowerShot SX720 HS

Canon PowerShot SX720 HS $256.00 1

The PowerShot SX720 HS is a compact camera with a whopping 40X zoom lens, which is equivalent to 24-960mm. It has a 20.3MP BSI CMOS sensor and DIGIC 6 image processor, which allows for 1080/60p video and 5.9 fps continuous shooting. Other features include a 3″ LCD with 922k dots, a Zoom Framing Assist feature which keeps subjects in the scene as they approach or retreat from the camera and Wi-Fi with NFC.

As with many of these basic point and shoot camerasMORE with fixed lenses, the image quality — especially in low light — isn’t as good as what you’ll find with a DSLR camera or mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. The SX720’s 1/2.3-inch image sensor is the smallest you’ll find in a digital camera, meaning you shouldn’t expect to make large prints from the photos you shoot with this camera. And with a price tag of just under $400, this isn’t going to fit in the budget of many beginner photographers.

But if you’re looking for a complement or a replacement to your smartphone camera, the Canon SX720’s image quality is going to be good enough to outperform most smartphone cameras. And of course, no smartphone camera can offer even a 4X optical zoom lens, let alone match the impressive 40X zoom of this Canon model.

PANASONIC LUMIX ZS200

PANASONIC LUMIX ZS200 Check on Amazon 1

It’s not the first time we’ve seen a 1.0-inch sensor in a travel zoom compact – that accolade goes to the Lumix ZS100 / TZ100, but whereas that camera sported a pretty modest (for a travel zoom camera) 10x zoom range, the Lumix ZS200 / TZ200 sees Panasonic squeeze a 15x zoom into a similar sized body. The 24-360mm range makes the Lumix ZS200 / TZ200 incredibly versatile, suited to capturing everything from sweeping vistas to tightly cropped details.

There’s a large 3.0-inch touchscreenMORE on the rear of the camera (although it sits flush with the body and can’t be angled outwards), while the Lumix ZS200 / TZ200 follows on from the Lumix ZS100 / TZ100 and sports a built-in electronic viewfinder (EVF); this gets a small bump up in resolution over its predecessor, but it still feels pretty small and claustrophobic to look through, so while it’s handy for composing shots in bright sunlight, the rest of the time you’ll find yourself using the excellent rear display.

For hassle-free photography there’s a range of auto modes and features, but the Lumix ZS200 / TZ200 also features more advanced controls too, including aperture priority and shutter priority modes, as well as full manual control. There’s also raw capture to help achieve the best quality results from your images, while the handy control wheel round the lens offers quick adjustment for a range of settings.

Canon PowerShot ELPH 180 20MP 8x Zoom

Canon PowerShot ELPH 180 20MP 8x Zoom $159.99 1

Canon ELPH 180 has a 20.0MP 1/2.3 (6.17 x 4.55 mm ) sized CCD sensor and features DIGIC 4+ processor. You can shoot at maximum resolution of 5152 x 3864 pixels with aspect ratios of and 4:3. ELPH 180 has a native ISO range of 100 – 1600 but unfortunately, Canon ELPH 180 doesn’t have RAW file support. If you need a Compact camera with a RAW support, consider or in the same price range.

Canon ELPH 180 weighsMORE 126 g (0.28 lb / 4.44 oz) and has external dimensions of 95 x 54 x 22 mm (3.74 x 2.13 x 0.87″). Considering that the average weight of Compact type cameras is 187g, Canon ELPH 180 is a remarkably light camera for its class. Even better, with a thickness of only 22mm, it is also quite small, 6mm thinner than the average of its class.

With Canon ELPH 180, you can record your videos at a highest resolution of 1280 x 720 at 25p fps and save in MPEG-4 and H.264 formats. 1280 x 720 is a low video resolution by todays standards. If video quality is important for you, we recommend you to look at cameras with Full HD, even better 4K / Ultra-HD resolution. Canon ELPH 180 doesn’t have any connections for external microphones and headphones. If you need a Compact camera with external microphone connectivity, consider or in a similar price range.

Fujifilm X100F 24.3 MP APS-C Digital Camera

Fujifilm X100F 24 3 MP APS C Digital Camera $1,299.00 1

Featuring an evolution in its core feature-set, the silver X100F Digital Camera from Fujifilm incorporates a series of advanced imaging capabilities while still retaining its trademark design and intuitive handling assets. Most notably, the X100F features a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor and X-Processor Pro image processor to realize rich, high-resolution stills and fluent performance with expandable sensitivity to ISO 51200.

A built-in Fujinon 23mm f/2 lens providesMORE a general wide-angle 35mm equivalent focal length, and its optical design utilizes aspherical glass to produce sharp imagery while a Super EBC coating resists flare and ghosting. Benefitting working in a variety of shooting situations, a heightened hybrid autofocus system now utilizes 91 total points, including 49 phase-detection points, for quick, accurate focusing.

Complementing the imaging specs is a range of physical attributes that are the hallmark of the X100-series. The Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder, which meshes both optical and electronic viewing means in a switchable manner, has been updated with adjustable magnification for the electronic rangefinder function for more precise manual focus control. Additionally, the body also sports a physical ISO dial, which is incorporated within the shutter speed dial.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II Mirrorless Digital Camera

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II Mirrorless Digital Camera Check on Amazon 1

JPEGs are generally good up through ISO 800 and still usable up through about ISO 1600; by ISO 3200 they look smeary and soft, though depending upon the photos and your needs you could get away with them through the top of its sensitivity range, ISO 25600. Processing the raws delivers more detail starting at about ISO 1600, as well, though they’re grainier because you’re not gaining any tonal range out of it.

The colors are neutral and accurateMORE — it nailed some difficult reds and pear green/browns that most cameras don’t get right, though red peppers in the JPEGs were slightly cool (and correct in the raw). But they’re still pleasantly saturated.

The new sensor in the camera yields far less crunchy-looking images than from the original E-M10, though the in-focus areas have that slightly oversharpened look that I see a lot from the four-thirds sensors. And (unsurprisingly) you do get significantly sharper results — which extends the usable ISO sensitivity range — by using a better lens than the kit’s.

Fujifilm X-T20 Mirrorless Digital Camera

Fujifilm X-T20 Mirrorless Digital Camera $799.00 1

The Fujifilm X-T20 is a midrange SLR-styled mirrorless camera that sits above the X-E2S and below the X-T2. The X-T20 replaces the X-T10 and offers a host of new features, including Fujifilm’s latest 24MP CMOS sensor and image processor, faster burst shooting, any improved autofocus system, 4K video capture and more. In many ways, it’s a smaller, less expensive ‘little brother’ to the X-T2, a camera that earned a Gold Award when we reviewed it last year.

The X-T20 finds itself in a competitiveMORE field of both ‘mirrored’ (DSLR) and mirrorless cameras. Buyers are likely to find themselves deciding between midrange DSLRs like the Nikon D5600 and Canon EOS 77D, as well as mirrorless models such as the Sony a6300, Panasonic GX850 and the Olympus E-M5 II.

The X-T20 is more about the overall package than one or two specs that standout. That said, the 24MP sensor has proven its worth on the X-Pro2 and X-T2, and the AF system has also been refined in a good way. The EVF is a pleasure to use, though the touch functions on the tilting LCD are limited. The burst rate hasn’t changed since the X-T10, but the buffer size has been dramatically increased. 4K video has also been added, helping to keep the X-T20 at an even level with the best of its peers.

Canon PowerShot SX730 Digital Camera

Canon PowerShot SX730 Digital Camera $379.00 1

While it looks rather underwhelming going on the spec sheet, generally sound performance makes the Canon PowerShot SX730 HS worth considering if all you’re after is a no-frills pocket superzoom.

Smartphones may well haveMORE replaced entry-level compact cameras for most day-to-day shooting, but one market they’ve yet to successfully crash is that of the long-zoom camera. If you really need to home in on far-away details, the only practical solution is either an interchangeable lens camera with a telephoto optic or a compact camera with similar ambitions.

The Canon PowerShot SX730 HS belongs in the latter camp, and with a lens equivalent to 24-960mm in 35mm terms it reaches further than the average DSLR/superzoom lens combination can manage. Of course, DSLRs and compact system cameras with larger sensors offer a variety of advantages, but if you’re looking for a pocket-friendly, all-purpose option, the SX730 HS is likely to appeal.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 V 20.1 MP

Sony Cyber shot DSC RX100 V 20 1 MP Check on Amazon

Comprising the essentials needed to begin shooting, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 V Digital Camera with Free Accessory Kit from B&H bundles the advanced compact camera with a 64GB SDXC memory card and a protective carrying case. Taking an amazing pocket-sized series and further improving it, the Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 V Digital Camera from Sony takes the compact RX100 line up a notch by adding a Fast Hybrid AF system with 315 focal-plane phase-detection points.

Incorporating a proven and reliable 20.1MP 1″ Exmor RS BSI CMOS sensor,MORE the RX100 V is able to create highly detailed images at sensitivities up to ISO 12800 with ease. Also, combining this sensor’s speed and power with the BIONZ X processor and a newly developed front-end LSI, users can enjoy even faster performance, including continuous shooting of up to 24 fps with a buffer up to 148 JPEG frames.

Improved High Frame Rate recording times, and fast continuous AF with stills and while recording UHD 4K video. The hallmark features are the advanced AF system which can now lock on in just 0.05 seconds and operate during the camera’s maximum continuous shooting speed of 24 fps. The High Frame Rate mode, which can reach an incredible 960 fps can now record for twice as long.

After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best digital cameras for kids for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

Canon PowerShot ELPH 190 Digital Camera

Canon PowerShot ELPH 190 Digital Camera Out of stock

The image sensor packs more than enough resolution for a small camera, 20MP—we’ll get into how that influences image quality later. It’s paired with a 10x zoom lens, covering a 24-240mm (full-frame equivalent) field of view, with a variable f/3-6.9 aperture. It offers a lot more range of coverage than you get with any smartphone, but even at its widest angle it captures less than half the light as flagship models from Apple and Samsung—which means that using it in dim light sans flash isn’t an option.

Canon expects most peopleMORE to use the Elph 190 IS in full automatic mode. When it’s in this mode you have no control over exposure, although you can disable the flash if you’re taking pictures and don’t want it to fire. The Auto Zoom function only works in this mode. It uses the Elph’s face detection feature to automatically frame a portrait shot.

You can take a bit more control over your photography if you want, although there’s no true manual exposure mode. You can set the camera to Program shooting, which lets you adjust exposure compensation, ISO the metering pattern, and white balance, all via an on-screen overlay menu. There are also a number of Scene settings, including options to capture fireworks, shoot in dim light, and use a long exposure, as well as artistic filters.

Nikon COOLPIX W100 (Blue)

Nikon COOLPIX W100 Blue $156.95 1

Capture family trips to the beach or out on the slopes with the tough blue COOLPIX W100 Digital Camera from Nikon which features a rugged body rated to be waterproof to 33′, dustproof, freezproof to 14°F, and shockproof to 6′. The camera is designed to be used by all members of the family, including younger kids, and features special cartoon effects and a welcome screen that adjusts based on usage in order to provide an easy-to-use and fun operating experience.

This model also features SnapBridgeMORE with Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth support that combine to enable a variety of functions, including instant image transfer, geolocation tagging, and more. For imaging, the W100 sports a 13.1MP 1/3.1″ CMOS sensor with a sensitivity of up to ISO 1600. This combines with the NIKKOR 3x optical zoom lens, equivalent to 30-90mm, to produce sharp images in a range of situations and environments.

The camera features a contrast-detect AF system and Electronic VR to help create crisp imagery. Also, it offers Full HD 1080p video recording at 30 fps and users will be able to compose shots using a 2.7″ 230k-dot rear LCD. Additionally, for working in bright light, the W100 is equipped with a 2-stop ND filter.

Olympus TG-5 Waterproof Camera with 3-Inch LCD

Olympus TG 5 Waterproof Camera with 3 Inch LCD Check on Amazon 1

Balancing the imaging capabilitiesMORE is a versatile 4x optical zoom lens, which spans a 25-100mm equivalent range, and has an f/2 maximum aperture to benefit working in low-light conditions. Additionally, the Variable Macro System also positions this lens for close-up shooting with subjects just one centimeter away for true macro photography. Complementing the sensor and optical attributes of the TG-5 is a robust set of features for withstanding the elements.

Tracking your adventures, and sharing your images. The camera is rated for underwater use, as well as tested to withstand falls and crushing, and is hermetically sealed against dust and moisture for assured use in trying conditions. Canon EOS M100 Mirrorless Camera

Canon EOS M100 Mirrorless Camera $449.00 1

The Canon EOS M100 is the direct replacement for the two-year-old Canon EOS M10. It sits below the company’s EOS M6, EOS M5 and EOS M3 models as a beginner-friendly option for those looking to buy their first interchangeable lens camera and pursue photography beyond the limitations of a basic compact camera or smartphone.

The Canon EOS M100, like its predecessor,MORE accepts Canon EF-M lenses – as well as EF and EF-S lenses via an adaptor – and is available in black, silver or grey, with a choice of nine jacket colours to customise it to your taste.

To bring the EOS M100 up to date, Canon has replaced the 18MP sensor of old with a new 24.2MP APS-C CMOS chip. This sensor is similar to those found in Canon’s latest APS-C DSLRs and teaming it with a faster and more powerful DIGIC 7 image processor brings a number of improvements to the camera.

Nikon D3300 w/ AF-P DX 18-55mm VR Digital SLR

Nikon D3300 w Af P DX 18 55mm VR Digital SLR $399.95 1

The D3300 makes it fun and easy to preserve those moments in the lifelike beauty they deserve: stunning 24.2-megapixel photos and 1080p Full HD videos with tack-sharp details, vibrant colors and softly blurred backgrounds. With its included zoom lens, the new ultra-compact AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II, the D3300 is a small and light HDSLR and easy to use, too.

Like sharing photos? The D3300 photos can appearMORE instantly on your compatible smartphone or tablet for easy sharing with the optional WU-1a Wireless Adapter*! Whether you’re creating high-resolution panoramas, adding artistic special effects or recording HD video with sound, the D3300 will bring you endless joy, excitement and memories—just like the special moments of your life. Beautiful memories made easy Taking snapshots with a smartphone is convenient.

Your 24.2-megapixel photos and 1080p Full HD videos will be so impressive, so rich with detail† and color—so lifelike—they’ll bring back the feelings of the moments they capture.

GoPro HERO5 Session

GoPro HERO5 Session $199.99 1

Video quality is second to none, 10MP still imagery will be good enough for most, and the tiny package makes it the perfect companion on your travels. The lack of a replaceable battery is a downer, as is the slightly confusing one-button interface, but the beautifully crisp 4K footage easily makes up for this.

Granted, there are now plentyMORE of rival offerings that aim to tempt buyers away from the biggest name in sports and action shooting, but few can compete with the level of features and image quality offered by the Californian brand. The Hero5 Session sits in the middle of GoPro’s current camera lineup, borrowing many elements from its bigger Hero5 Black brother (which has just been superseded by the Hero6 Black), yet featuring the scaled-down simplicity and exterior packaging of the more affordable Hero Session.

It may sound confusing, and there’s a big price disparity between the four cameras, but the key thing to note is that the Hero5 Session shoots in 4K at 30fps, like the Hero5 Black, while stills are captured at 10MP (as opposed to 12MP by the Hero5 Black) and it features GoPro’s ProTune feature for easier post-production editing.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 9

Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 $56.00 1

The 60mm lens has a narrow f/12.7 maximum aperture, so you’ll appreciate the automatic flash when taking photos indoors—it’s downright necessary. Its field of view is a moderate wide-angle, about the same as a 35mm lens on a full-frame camera. To put it in perspective, that’s a little tighter than most modern smartphones, which typically boast a wider 25 or 28mm prime as the main lens.

Fujifilm includes a clip-on macro adapter.MORE It attaches directly to the lens and keeps subjects from about 13 to 19.7 inches in focus. Anything closer or farther away will be blurry. It’s a solid addition, as without it the focus is limited to about 2 feet (0.6-meter) to infinity. The small add-on lens looks like it might be easy to lose, but if you’re able to hold on to it you can use it to shoot close-up images.

New to the Mini 9 is a selfie mirror. It’s a simple, tiny mirror next to the lens. Point the camera at yourself and hold it at arm’s length and you’ll be able to frame up a selfie with ease. The tighter, 35mm field of view makes it tough to shoot and image with two people in frame, unless you get really close together, and I’ve yet to see a selfie stick for this camera.

Pentax K1000 Camera with 50mm (f/2.0) Lens

Pentax K1000 Camera with 50mm (f/2.0) Lens Out of stock

For me, the K1000 was not my first camera. It was my brother’s first camera—Dad bought him one when he took photography classes in high school. I didn’t get into real picture-taking until I was in college and I launched into the photography world with the decidedly more modern Nikon N6006. My brother’s K1000 is unused on his bookshelf and he won’t share it with me, but I stumbled across a K1000 and Vivitar 80-200 f/4 lens at an estate sale, in Rhode Island, for a cool $5.

Because of its incredibly long productionMORE run (the same duration as the Nikon F3) and the numbers of cameras built, the Pentax K1000 has carved out its place in the history of cameras and photography. It was never pressed into service as a “pro camera,” but professional shooters undoubtedly used these over the years. The K1000 is an incredibly simple and easy-to-use SLR camera—characteristics that made it ideal for students and beginners in photography.

When it comes to SLR cameras, the K1000 is as simple as you can get. There is no On/Off button or switch. The only controls are to set your shutter speed from 1 sec to 1/1000, dial-in your film ISO/ASA from 20-3200, a lever to wind said film and c**k the shutter, and a button to release the shutter. Aperture will be controlled by the attached lens.

After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best large sensor compact digital for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

Nikon D850 FX-format Digital SLR Camera Body

Nikon D850 FX format Digital SLR Camera Body $3,296.95 1

Proving that speed and resolution can indeed coexist, the Nikon D850 is a multimedia DSLR that brings together robust stills capabilities along with apt movie and time-lapse recording. Revolving around a newly designed 45.7MP BSI CMOS sensor and proven EXPEED 5 image processor, the D850 is clearly distinguished by its high resolution for recording detailed imagery. The back-illuminated design of the sensor is able to acquire greater detail and clarity when working in low-light conditions.

And the sensor also forgoesMORE an optical low-pass filter for improved sharpness. Working in conjunction with the sensor is the EXPEED 5 image processor, which together afford a 7 fps continuous shooting rate for up to 51 consecutive frames, an expandable sensitivity range from ISO 32 to 102400, and 4K UHD video recording using either a DX crop or the entire area of the full-frame sensor.

An 8K time-lapse recording mode is also available, as well as additional specialized recording modes for digitizing film negatives and for focus stacking applications. Benefitting the imaging capabilities is an advanced Multi-CAM 20K 153-point AF system, which debuted with the flagship D5 and offers 99 cross-type sensors for refined focusing accuracy in a variety of lighting conditions.

Sony a7 III Full-Frame Mirrorless

Sony a7 III Full-Frame Mirrorless $1,998.00 1

Despite its billing as a ‘basic’ model, the Sony a7 III is a supremely capable full frame camera. Though it doesn’t have the most megapixels or shoot the fastest bursts, its well-judged mix of resolution, speed, features and price point make it an easy recommendation for all kinds of photographers and all kinds of photography.

Compared to its predecessor,MORE the Sony a7 III has been updated in almost every way; when compared to other similarly priced full frame options, the a7 III looks to be a cut above in many respects. For generalist photographers, wedding and event shooters and even sports specialists, the a7 III gets an awful lot of things just right. But as with previous Sony mirrorless full-frame cameras, there are some foibles that persist with this new model.

Despite its relatively affordable price point, the Sony a7 III is one of Sony’s most capable interchangeable lens cameras for video to date.

Canon EOS 6D 20.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera

Canon EOS 6D 20 2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera $999.00 1

The Canon EOS 6D is a full-frame 20.2MP DSLR offering exceptionally high image quality and detail while providing compatibility and convenience through its design and features. When paired with the powerful DIGIC 5+ image processor and 14-bit A/D conversion, the full-frame sensor is capable of recording vivid imagery with expanded sensitivity up to ISO 102400.

The 6D employs an 11-point autofocus systemMORE for acquiring precise focus regardless of the shooting situation, which is further enhanced by a center cross-type focus point for improved low-light focus sensitivity. The iFCL 63-zone dual layer metering sensor also benefits from the autofocus system when making exposure measurements, and analyzes color and luminance values within the scene to determine accurate exposure settings.

Full HD video recording is possible up to 1080/30p in the All I-frame or IPB compression, as well as the standard H.264/MPEG-4 AVC codec. When recording HD video, full manual control over exposure and sound is possible, enabling you to take complete control over the final appearance of your movies.

Nikon D750 FX-format Digital SLR Camera Body

Nikon D750 FX format Digital SLR Camera Body $1,496.95 1

Championing a multimedia approach to photography, Nikon’s D750 DSLR is an FX-format camera well-suited to both still imaging and video recording. Featuring a 24.3MP CMOS sensor, along with the EXPEED 4 image processor, this camera is capable of producing high-resolution imagery with smooth color gradations, low noise, and sensitivity to an expandable ISO 51200, at a continuous shooting rate of up to 6.5 fps.

In regard to video recording,MORE Full HD 1080p/60 is supported, along with the ability to record uncompressed video to an optional external recorder. Working from high and low angles is possible due to the tilting 3.2″ 1,229k-dot LCD monitor or, for remote shooting, the D750 also features built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. Designed for the contemporary image-maker, this DSLR is poised to benefit still photographers and videographers alike with the versatility and performance to match any working situation.

Benefitting the imaging capabilities of the D750, an equally apt 51-point AF system, with 15 cross-type points, is available and can be configured to utilize five AF points as a single focusing point in the Group Area AF setting for heightened initial subject recognition. The 3D Color Matrix Metering III system, along with the 91,000-pixel RGB sensor.

Leica Q 24.2 Megapixel Digital 35 MM Compact Camera

Leica Q 24.2 Megapixel Digital 35 MM Compact Camera $4,494.96 1

The Leica Q (Typ 116) is a high-end, fixed-lens compact camera with a 24MP full-frame sensor and a 28mm F1.7 Summilux stabilized lens. It represents a new product line for Leica, and was the first full-frame Leica to incorporate an autofocus system.

Leica – one of the most traditionalMORE of traditional camera manufacturers – has been pretty innovative in recent years, bringing us the luxuriously black medium-format S-series, the full-frame mirrorless SL, and the innovative, stylish (if not particularly likable) Leica T.

The Q is styled in a similar way to Leica’s high-end M-series rangefinders, but with the addition of a high resolution electronic viewfinder and touch-sensitive LCD screen. Unlike the Leica T, where Leica made the touchscreen absolutely central to the handling experience, the Q’s touchscreen is essentially optional, and works in concert with several conventional (physical) control points. This combination of classic and modern is central to the Q, which melds manual control with electronic assistance fluidly in its ergonomics.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX85 4K Wi-Fi Digital Camera

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX85 4K Wi-Fi Digital Camera $614.95 1

Although it’s 16 megapixels rather than the new 20.3MP sensor that’s in the higher-end GX8, it’s a version of the Four Thirds-size sensor that forgoes an antialiasing filter (aka OLPF). Cameras use them to blur edges slightly, which removes some color artifacts (moire and false color) that would normally appear, but you sacrifice sharpness. The new version of the company’s Venus image-processing engine which is in the GX85 has moire-reduction built in to compensate.

As a result, JPEGs remain cleanMORE through ISO 1600, and depending upon light and subject, usable through the top of the camera’s ISO sensitivity range. It’s noticeably better than the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II in this respect. If you process raw files, you can eke out some more detail at all sensitivity levels; the default Standard Photo Style applied to JPEGs pushes the saturation and contrast enough that you’ll lose some detail in highlight and shadow areas.

Its color rendering and white balance is excellent. The automatic white balance delivers some of the best results I’ve seen, even in cloudy weather, low light and multiple light sources, which are three of the trickiest conditions you’ll encounter.

Sony a9 Full Frame Mirrorless Interchangeable-Lens Camera

Sony a9 Full Frame Mirrorless Interchangeable-Lens Camera $4,498.00 1

The Alpha A9 doesn’t fail to impress. The AF system Sony has blessed this camera with is not only incredibly quick, the tracking performance needs to be seen to be believed. Partner that with incredibly fast 20fps burst shooting, and a large and bright EVF that doesn’t blackout when you’re shooting, and you’ve got a camera that can mix it with the best that Canon and Nikon have to offer when it comes to shooting action.

The Sony Alpha A9 has quiteMORE a job on its hands. While the likes of Fujifilm’s X-T2 and Sony’s own Alpha A7R II have tempted some pros, particularly studio and landscape photographers, to trade-in their DSLR kit, it’s been a harder challenge to get sports and action photographers to give up their Canon and Nikon gear.

Rather than being cosseted in a comfy camera bag, the gear of those action photographers is going to get bashed about on a daily basis, while the performance demanded from their camera bodies means we haven’t yet seen a mirrorless rival to the likes of Canon’s EOS-1D X Mark II and the Nikon D5.

After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best bridge cameras for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX400V Wi-Fi Digital Camera

Sony $398.00 1

The black Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX400V Digital Camera is a high-zoom camera that offers ease of use akin to a point-and-shot, but with the design and control of a DSLR. It features a 20.4MP 1/2.3″ Exmor R CMOS sensor and a BIONZ X Image Processor for notable low light performance, as well as a 50x optical zoom Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar T lens with a 100x Clear Image Zoom.

A 4.3-215mm focal lengthMORE with a 35mm equivalent of 24-1200mm allows this lens significant wide-angle and considerable telephoto shooting abilities. It also features a wide 2.8 aperture, which is especially useful in low-light as it allows for brighter images. A 3″ Xtra Fine 921k-dot tilting LCD monitor as well as an electronic eye-level viewfinder allow you to view and compose high-quality images.

Capture full HD 1080p AVCHD video at 60p and 24p and use the optical SteadyShot Image Stabilization to compensate for camera shake in order to provide clearer images. This is especially useful in low light and when using the longer focal lengths. For sports photography and during motion-filled photo capturing moments, the HX400V features 10 frames per second continuous shooting at the full 20.4MP resolution, which ensures sharp, clear images that are less likely to be missed.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ70

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ70 $399.99

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ70 Digital Camera is a bridge-style point-and-shoot digital camera that features a 16.1 megapixel High Sensitivity BSI MOS sensor and Venus Engine image processor to produce high resolution still imagery and full HD 1080i/p video with notable low-light quality. The combination of the processor and sensor enable a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-3200, which can be further expanded to ISO 6400. The processor also affords a wealth of speed to the camera, including the ability to record up to 9 fps in a 3-shot burst, 5 fps with one-shot AF, or 2 fps with continuous AF.

The built-in Lumix DC Vario 60x optical zoomMORE lens provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 20-1200mm, covering wide-angle to telephoto perspectives for working in almost any shooting situation. Benefitting this extensive zoom range is POWER O.I.S., which works to minimize the appearance of camera shake when working with greater zoom magnifications and under low-light conditions. This image stabilization system also features an Active Mode that is well-suited to creating steady HD movies by countering the appearance of camera shake in a variety of directions.

Full HD 1080i video at 60 fps is supported in the high quality AVCHD codec and greatly benefits from the inclusion of a Windshield Zoom Microphone and Dolby Digital audio quality. The built-in stereo microphone works to significantly reduce wind noise in order to provide clearer overall audio quality. Its zoom design is also well-paired to the zoom lens to help achieve natural sounding recordings.

Canon Powershot SX60 16.1MP Digital Camera 65x

Canon Powershot SX60 16.1MP Digital Camera 65x $429.00 1

The Canon SX60 HS is a superzoom with an immense zoom range. The 65x zoom will make you feel as though you can spot life on other planets. Looking at the numbers it’s hard not to be a little impressed. However, superzooms often care a bit too much about length, and not enough about quality and handling.

Like its predecessors,MORE the Canon SX60 HS has a moulded plastic body that’s not too far off an entry-level DSLR in terms of style and frame. It’s large, but then a chunky body is required to offset the sheer size of the zoom lens when fully extended.

It feels robust, but not exactly expensive or high-end. For £449, the Canon SX60 HS is a rather basic-feeling camera. Canon’s tried to inject a slight sense of quality, though, by using aluminium for the outer part of the lens barrel. This is welcome, as this area will often be held or rested on something for a bit of extra stability.

PANASONIC LUMIX FZ80 4K 60X Zoom Camera

PANASONIC LUMIX FZ80 4K 60X Zoom Camera $297.99 1

Mixing long-zoom capabilities with multimedia recording versatility, the Lumix DC-FZ80 from Panasonic pairs an expansive 60x zoom lens with high-resolution stills and 4K video shooting functionality. Revolving around an 18.1MP High-Sensitivity MOS sensor, the FZ80 has a top sensitivity of ISO 6400 for working in low-light conditions as well as a 10 fps shooting rate and UHD 4K/30p video recording at 100 Mbps.

The 4K capabilities are extended to stills applications,MORE too, and allow for 30 fps shooting at 8MP as well as the ability to use Post Focus for choosing your specific point of focus after shooting. Complementing these imaging assets is a Lumix DC Vario lens, which provides a 20-1200mm equivalent focal length range, along with POWER O.I.S. to minimize the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting.

Benefitting these performance attributes is an ergonomic body design that incorporates both a 1.166m-dot electronic viewfinder, for eye-level monitoring, as well as a 3.0″ 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD for intuitive control of shooting settings. Built-in Wi-Fi is also featured for wireless image sharing and remote camera control from a linked smartphone or tablet.

Sony Cyber‑Shot RX10 IV with 0.03 Second Auto-Focus

Sony Cyber Shot RX10 IV with 0 03 Second Auto Focus $1,698.00 1

Now, it’s easier to capture more stunning stills and movies at every opportunity. The new RX10 IV is much more than a solid, smart all-in-one compact — it packs enough groundbreaking innovations for even professionals to marvel at, from ultra-fast AF system of its kind, to legendary optics throughout its 25x zoom range, to extraordinarily precise, powerful image processing, and more.

The RX10 IV’s AF systems heighten response,MORE accuracy and range for more controllably precise, tenacious focus on your subject, however quickly the scene’s action unfolds. World-leading 0.03-sec. AF speed is made possible by the 1.0-type Exmor RS™ CMOS image sensor that provides for fast, accurate autofocusing at all times. 315 phase-detection AF points cover approx. 65% of the image area to provide widespread autofocus coverage of subjects that appear in the frame.

With High-density Tracking AF Technology, focus reliably stays on moving subjects and activates AF points to cover the area around the subject. The exemplary RX10 IV puts more intuitive, versatile control of focus right at your fingertip. Slide your finger to shift focus. It’s handy while monitoring the viewfinder. Simply touch the LCD screen to focus on the chosen subject.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ2500

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ2500 $1,049.99

While offering several new stills-related features (such as focus stacking), the FZ2500 is really all about video. It shoots both Cinema and UHD 4K, can output 4:2:2 10-bit video over its HDMI port, supports V-Log L recording (for an extra $99) and much, much more. In essence, the FZ2500 is the little brother to the DMC-GH4 ILC, which is one of the most capable video capture cameras on the market.

At this point in time,MORE the only other fixed-lens cameras that truly competes with the FZ2500 is the Sony Cyber-shot RX10 III. The Sony has many features in common with the FZ2500, such as 4K capture, zebra pattern and a flat picture profile (S-Log2), but boasts a longer, faster lens and high speed recording at up to 960 fps.

In most respects, the FZ2500 comes out on top – and that’s without including the myriad of video features that just don’t fit in the table. The RX10 III does have a longer, faster lens and the ability to shoot at very fast frame rates, but it also costs a lot more. It’s battery life is also considerably better. That said, it costs $400 more than the FZ2500, which is nothing to sneeze at.

Sony DSC-RX10 III Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera

Sony DSC-RX10 III Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera Check on Amazon 1

The Sony DSC-RX10 III is an enthusiast-oriented bridge camera with a 24-600mm equivalent F2.4-4 lens and 20MP 1″-type stacked CMOS sensor. That sensor and the BIONZ X image processor are shared with the RX10 II and Sony RX100 IV, and offer great dynamic range and high ISO performance as well as 4K video and a range of high-speed video capture modes.

The RX-series has always beenMORE designed as much for video shooting as well as stills shooting in mind, and the RX10 III doesn’t change that. The real story of the RX10 III lies within its massive zoom lens. The RX10 III may look similar to the RX10 II when you look at them individually, but once you see them together, it’s immediately apparent just how much Sony tweaked the design of the III to accommodate the threefold increase in zoom power. The body and grip are ‘chunkier,’ and the weight has increased as well. Overall, the two are more siblings than twins.

There will be those people that buy the RX10 III straight away, simply because it zooms more than x camera. But it’s worth asking yourself if you really need 600mm of reach – because if you aren’t really sure you do, then you probably don’t. But as you’ll see later on, the RX10 III’s lens is so good that it might be worth it to you even if you only use the extreme reach occasionally.

Nikon COOLPIX B700 Digital Camera

Nikon COOLPIX B700 Digital Camera $449.00

Get closer to the action with 60x optical zoom*1 and 120x Dynamic Fine Zoom*2 on the COOLPIX B700. Whether you are at a football game or on a hike, the 20.3-megapixel B700 captures crisp details in 4K ultra high-definition. Seamlessly connect it to a smart device via the new SnapBridge feature and share your best shots instantly.

Come face-to-face with fast-moving wildlifeMORE or players on a pitch with the power of 60x optical zoom*1 and 120x Dynamic Fine Zoom*2. Macro mode takes you even nearer with a distance as little as 1cm. Quick and easy zoom can be achieved with the ergonomic Side Zoom Control, and Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction keeps your subjects consistently sharp.

Capture the essence of every moment, even in the dark conditions of a concert arena. The B700 is powered by a backside illuminated CMOS image sensor that delivers detail-rich images. High-speed autofocus (AF) and Target Finding AF ensure sharp focus at a moment’s notice. Enjoy full creative control with the ability to shoot in RAW format.

After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best electric shavers for thick beard for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

Philips Norelco Oneblade QP6520/70 Pro

Philips Norelco Oneblade QP6520 70 Pro $79.95 1

Get a supersmooth shave with this Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro razor. The shaver is water-resistant, so you can shave dry or wet with foam in the shower. The durable blades on this Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro razor last up to 4 months, and they’re dual-sided for shaving in either direction. Traditional electric shavers for men are awkward and bulky and many men are running away from them.

Philips Norelco designed a unit thatMORE features a classic design while offering high quality smooth shaves to meet the needs of all shavers. The Philips Norelco Oneblade QP6520/70 is a special beard trimmer with a unique design, not like any other trimmer from Philips. The appearance of the unit is also different and not reminiscent of other Philips shavers. It has a narrow black body with gray edges.

Its head features a single blade as its name suggests. The blade is offered with tiny cutters that look much like the foil style of electric shavers. Each piece is easy to use with a single circular button centrally located on the shaver. This article is an assessment of the OneBlade Pro. It is a single tool that can do all you need in a shaving tool.

Braun Electric Shaver, Series 3 ProSkin 3040s

Braun Electric Shaver, Series 3 ProSkin 3040s $59.99 1

The ProSkin 3040s is part of the wet & dry razors from the Series 3 and sits somewhere in the middle of the pack considering its price and features. The shaver comes with the usual three blade setup, with two outer foils for cutting hairs close to the skin and one middle trimmer that deals with longer stubble.

Around this trimmer there is aMORE microcomb that should feed hairs more effectively to the cutters. The three cutting elements can move independently and are integrated into a single cassette, so they can’t be bought and replaced separately.

The materials used are black plastic with both matte and glossy treatments; the razor feels very solid and durable and in my subjective opinion it looks even better than its predecessor. The power button is rubberized and it takes quite a lot of force to press. Since the 3040s doesn’t feature a travel lock, I guess this is a good thing as there is no way you could turn it on by mistake.

Panasonic Arc5 Electric Razor, Men’s 5-Blade Cordless

Panasonic Arc5 Electric Razor Mens 5-Blade Cordless $141.99 1

If you don’t want to buy a shaver with a cleaning station during the Cyber Monday deals, the Panasonic Arc 5 LV65-S only includes the shaver. There’s no point in going to the expense of buying kit with cleaning station if you don’t want one. This shaver has five blades in its foil-style shaving head, and has a nice sleek appearance.

The front of the shaver has a detailed LEDMORE readout panel to tell you battery time, low battery, and time for maintenance. This shaver also has the fast 14,000 cuts per minute linear motor to provide fast and efficient shaving. This shaver can also discern hair length, so it will automatically speed up or slow down based on length and thickness so you don’t have to keep on pressing the power button up or down.

The blades within the shaver have been precision-honed at a 30 degree angle. The head of this shaver also has Multi-Flex and pivoting ability. It’s cordless, with wet and dry usage. It’s designed with a sleek dark grey look. There is a large circular on/off switch right on the middle that is easy to find. There is also a large LCD panel on the bottom front.

Philips Norelco Shaver 4500 (Model AT830/46)

Philips Norelco Shaver 4500 Model AT830 46 $59.95 1

Philips is a brand that has been known to produce amazing shavers. The Norelco brand is among the most popular electric shavers of today. We will be reviewing the Norelco 4500 (Model AT830/46) model. This model is a cordless and rechargeable shaver that can be used in both wet and dry conditions. It also includes the DualPrecision shaving head.

This DualPrecision shaving headMORE can trim long hair and even short stubbles easily. Another unique element of this shaver is that it has a rotary style head and not a foil one. The heads have slots as well as holes to snip off hair quickly whether long or short. The design of this shaver is grey and black matte finish with a plastic casing.

The Norelco Shaver is built with a flex, pivot and flute system. This design allows for proper shaving on all the contours of your face. The head of the shaver has the ability to maintain close contact with the skin on your face all the while remaining gentle. This system grabs more hair in just one sweep so you don’t need to worry about going back and forth numerous times over your face and neck.

Remington F5-5800 Foil Shaver

Remington F5-5800 Foil Shaver $39.21 1

Remington is a well-known electric shaver brand. The F5-5800 is a great foil-style rechargeable shaver that not only performs well, but is available at a great price too. The Remington F5-5800 comes without frills, but if you’re looking for a shaver that provides a smooth clean shave, than this is the only shaver you need. It’s available in a black and charcoal finish, and has an easy on/off button.

The Remington foil head is builtMORE with their patented pivot and flex interceptor technology. This shaver is not only rechargeable, but it is fully rinsable under the tap, so that it can be easily cleaned. You can shave wet or dry as well.

Sometimes you don’t want to fiddle with charging it up, and what’s so unique is that this shaver can still be used with the cord. Also a great option for seniors who may not quite understand how the new rechargeable shaving technology works. No worries, they can still plug it into the wall and shave.

Philips Norelco Electric Shaver 3100, S3310/81

Philips Norelco Electric Shaver 3100, S3310/81 $49.95 1

The Philips Norelco Shaver 3100 (S3310/81) represents a newer iteration of another popular shaver from the same Series 3000 line, the PT724/46. The Norelco 3100 brings along redesigned shaving heads and a new black color scheme.

Unlike other shaversMORE where you must slide the switch to gradually lift the trimmer, here you have to slide it downward and the trimmer, being spring loaded, snaps into position perpendicular to the shaver’s body. If I were to nitpick, I would say that the way you hold the razor during use, with your thumb resting over the power button, makes it susceptible to be accidentally pressed. However, this will happen only if you hold it excessively tight.

Upon plugging the shaver in, the battery notification LED blinks intermittently, alternating between green and orange. This signals the fact that the battery is fully drained. After a few minutes the LED will only blink green and continue so until the battery will be completely charged.

Braun Series 9290CC Men’s Electric Foil Shaver

Braun Series 9290CC Mens Electric Foil Shaver $249.97 1

The Braun Series 9290CC is perfect to buy on a Black Friday shaver sale, as it’s a premium cordless shaver that includes a clean and charge station. This foil-style shaver has a shiny and sleek look to it. It has a blue LED readout panel that tells you just how much charge is left. It’s cordless, rechargeable, and works wet or dry.

This shaver works with the Braun patentedMORE SyncroSonic technology to make your shave much closer, smoother, and more comfortable than other shavers on the market today. The foil of this shaver has five different cutting elements that work together to remove more hair in one pass, and with minimal irritation. The clean and charge station is a black colour and works with a 5-action process. It speeds up the cleaning and maintenance of your shaver.

Part of this new generation, the Braun Series 9 9290cc comes in a new silver color treatment and includes an automatic Clean & Charge station. Moreover, this particular model is shaping up to be one of the best selling Series 9 shavers due to its lower price compared to other similar Series 9 variations.

Philips Norelco Shaver 4100

Philips Norelco Shaver 4100 $59.95 1

If you choose to only shave dry, you’ll still have a close and smooth shave every time. The shaver is designed to minimize irritation and redness after shaving. If you choose to shave with water, you can also add shaving gels, creams, lotions, or foams.

The Philips Norelco Shaver 4100MORE Model AT810/41 is also simple to clean. You just rinse it under warm water after use to get out the tiny hairs and shaving products. The box also includes a small cleaning brush so you can use it to scrub out your shaver to keep it clean. Maintenance is simple, and if you find your blades becoming dull over time, all you have to do is purchase an HQ8 replacement head. It’s recommended that you replace the heads once every twelve months.

The rotary blades are installed on a Flex and Float system. This makes it much simpler to give yourself a shave, as the blades will easily follow the contours of your face. Besides this system, the blades are also nice and sharp, so you’ll be able to trim off more hairs and have an even closer shave.

Remington XR1400 Verso Wet & Dry Men’s Shaver

Remington XR1400 Verso Wet & Dry Men's Shaver $46.77 1

The quick charging ability and enhanced battery you get in the Remington XR1400 Wet/Dry electric shaver made it a close race for the No. 1 spot. You will need only 4 hours to reach the maximum charge to run cordless for 45 minutes. This model includes a 5-minute quick charge so you can still get in a quick shave on the days you had forgotten to charge your razor. It is not as impressive a feature as being able to run your razor corded or cordless, but a five-minute wait is better than no shave at all for those important meetings or event.

As seen in the comparative research report,MORE this Remington electric razor performs just as well, with many of the same positive features, though it offers fewer attachments. In online retailer comparisons, it scored well but under the XR1410, receiving positive ratings at a rate of 10 every 2 days verse the XR1410 at 10 per day. Still great consumer sentiment overall.

The XR1400 comes in at a lower price point, about 30% cheaper than our best pick, making it a more affordable option. You will get included the charcoal-infused scrubbing brush head and an adjustable trimmer with 10 length options. For men prone to razor burn, skin irritations and bumps, XR1400’s included deep cleaning brush head may not be a bonus attachment depending on your sensitive skin issues.
