Trying to find a suitable product for your acne-prone skin is a hard task. You’re always wondering, “What if it doesn’t suit me?” You either try to back out or think of issues you might face afterwards.
Though finding out the best concealer for acne prone skin is tricky, it becomes easier if you know what elements need to be considered while making a choice.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer
The thick liquid concealer is just opaque enough to make dark circles vanish without looking fake or cakey. And it can actually make them fade for real over time: A blend of glycerin and peptides aims to absorb excess pigment and firm the skin.
The concealer flows up through… a sponge applicator that you’re supposed to use for application, but we found the tip too fat to reach the inner corners of our under-eyes; we got better results by tapping the sponge, then blending the color on with good old-fashioned fluttery fingers.
One word of warning: Once you crank the end of the bottle to dispense the concealer into the sponge, it flows in fast—be careful not to overload it.
Maybelline New York Fit Me! Concealer
A lot of bloggers and vloggers rave about this concealer and so when I saw it in a local beauty section, I grabbed my shade and took a tube home to test out.
I tested this concealer for about a week… and this is, without a doubt, the best drugstore concealer I have ever tried. It just amazingly covers my blemishes but doesn’t give me that heavy makeup feeling. It’s price tag won’t hurt your wallets because it’s only P299 pesos and a little goes a long way.
I read a few reviews where some women said it doesn’t last long. You may want to try a trick I always do whenever I am using liquid products. Set it with a powder. The powder doesn’t need to b pricey. It can be a typical pressed powder or if you have the RCMA or Ben Nye powder then go for it. Based on experience, this trick will give you longer wear.
L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer, Creamy Beige
I have to say I am still just as impressed as I was before. However when I did my first haul, I didn’t pick up a brightening/highlighter shade which is what I was really lacking, so a couple of weeks later I ordered ‘creamy beige’ and it is just perfecto!
‘Creamy beige’ when first applied… on the skin, bizarrely looks a little orange and I was pretty taken aback when I saw this, could it be the same shade I had seen many a YouTuber apply?? Thankfully when blended out with a damp beauty blender it becomes brighter and slightly more yellow toned. Its creamy in texture and opaque too.
Once you get your blending right (and trust me the beauty blender is the best of the best for this purpose) these concealers are wonderful for getting that highlight and contour on!
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Concealer
This cream concealer feels thick and tacky but thoroughly covers dark circles with high-pigment color. All you need is a pinhead’s drop of this opaque, waterproof color and dark circles go poof. No worries about it settling into fine lines; collagen and vitamins C and K work to reduce fine lines, puffiness, and discoloration. Application is key, though. For the best coverage, apply with a brush.

L.A. Girl Pro Concealer, Fawn
After venturing out to the beauty supply stores outside of my ‘hood I finally found Fawn and quickly snatched it up and a backup of Toffee. They had plenty of the concealers in stock and they were $1.99 so now I know where to go when I need to restock. Fawn is very similar to Toffee but it leans more yellow where Toffee leans more orange/salmon.
Both shades work for me… but I feel Toffee is better for a more natural looking everyday highlight where Fawn is good for a more defined highlight that stands out. I would probably wear Fawn when I’m going out and wearing slightly heavier makeup.
